The extra layer makes such a difference—my nails feel noticeably sturdier than with the standard 5 coats, and I've already banged them around without any chips. Worth the small add-on if you're rough on your hands like me.
I wasn't sure if the extra layer would make a visible difference, but these nails feel noticeably more solid than my last set without it. The added thickness is exactly what I needed for my weak natural nails, and the gel coat still has that smooth, even finish.
I was worried the added thickness would feel clunky, but it's actually perfect for my heavy-handed typing. The 5-layer base is already solid, and this under-layer makes them feel truly unbreakable without looking bulky.
